Résumé: In this letter, taking into account realistic propagation environments in the presence of log- normal shadowing, we analyze the outage performance of orthogonal space-time block coding (OSTBC) for an arbitrary finite number of transmit and receive antennas. An approximate expression for the outage probability of OSTBC over Rayleigh-fading multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels with shadowing is presented. Finally we give some numerical results to verify our analysis.
